I Love This Boy

The other day I went to the dentist that Dave and his family went to growing up. It was a crack up listening to the ladies talk about Dave in high school. The female dentist told me that the "Garner boys were the hot boys in the stake. Not just because they were so tall, but because they were so nice." She then went on to say that she set up her sister with one of them and told her she better fall in love with him because "they will make the best husbands because you can tell they have good parents, they're nice, and the hardest workers." She then added that their parents would be the best in-laws, which I agreed to.

Sometimes I get caught up in the details of daily life and forget that I ended up with the kind of guy I always wanted to end up with. Lucky me.

I mean, how could you not love this boy?

Good Spontaneity vs Bad Spontaneity

GOOD SPONTANEITY

Around 1 pm this afternoon Dave randomly suggested that we go to 6 Flags Amusement Park. I concurred so we took off! We spent the evening there and felt like little kids again. Of course we ate hamburgers...fries....funnel cake....churros....until Dave said it was time to go home because all we were doing was eating. But why else does anyone go to amusement parks? (Please disregard these last comments while reading Lola's Exercise Diaries—Or shall I say—Do as I say, not as I do :)

No really, we enjoyed the rides as well. Although, they seemed much bigger and faster when we were younger. Today they seemed much more jerky and we didn't remember feeling that nauseous after each ride before. Nonetheless, we're still glad we went.

VS

BAD SPONTANEITY

That same spontaneous weakness (Dave and I both share) has gotten us into trouble before, i.e. randomly deciding on a Thursday to move across the country that very weekend, quit my job, pack up all our belongings, move everything out of our apartment, and load up the U-hal. To only then decide on the drive there, that maybe we should turn around and stay in Texas. We're still here.

Luckily, in today's case, our spontaneous urge actually worked out in our favor, with no humiliating consequences.
