I can't even remember the last time all my siblings were together with no spouses and no kids. Let's put it this way, my oldest sister married her husband when I was in the fourth grade and I'm 24 now. Not that I don't love all my in-laws or my nieces and nephews, but it was a ton of fun to sit around and hang out with each other. We feasted like none other and played games. I got pretty used to just hanging out with my sisters that I'm going to see them next week again :) I could really get used to this no working thing!

Grandma Wilcox

I'll miss her funny sense of humor the most. She had this way of making everything "light". That's the only way I know how to explain it. She was never overbearing or over the top. She was nothing but fun to be around and always made side remarks that kept you laughing every time you thought about them. I'll never forget playing Mafia with her when she said, "I know you're the mafia because I peeked and saw you!" I mean who does that?! Really. Hilarious. I used to be so proud to tell that story that I had a little sweet old Grandma who loved to cheat while playing games.
She always took your side. And even if she didn't because even you knew you were wrong, she'd make a little joke or laugh to make you feel loved instead of frowned upon. I didn't realize what going to her house has meant to me growing up, til now. Even since I've been at home for the last 6 months I still loved going over there! I just wish my kids could've experienced what it was like to go over Grandma Wilcox's house.
I'm going to miss my Grandma but I feel lucky to be her granddaughter and hopefully I can create such a fun, loving environment for my grandkids one day like she did for us.

It's Official!
So Dave officially got the job with Olympus and starts next Monday! We are super excited about this job and that we get to stay in Southern California. Now we're just trying to find a place to live which is fun yet stressful at the same time. For the mean time it's been pretty nice relaxing and not having to go to work! It'd be nice if it could be like that all the time but that's life!

Obsessed!
I've been hanging out at my Grandma's house with my aunts and we have quite a bit of down time during the day. (At night we are partying and watching chick flick classics :) But I picked up a crossword puzzle book and I'M TOTALLY OBSESSED! It's hilarious! I feel like such an old lady. Once I finish one I start the next one. Even while I'm driving by myself I'm thinking of certain words, and I bring it with me while I run my errands and do it while I'm waiting in line! I guess it's really bringing out the addictive personality in me!
I better get back to my puzzle, I'm almost finished with this one...
